The ‘Freedom Continuity Income Model’
| The vast majority of individuals that turn to Internet Marketing are coming from a regular job. They are struggling to get ahead because they are stuck in the 9 to 5 mindset. As far as they are concerned the only way to make money is to trade hours for dollars. They are not aware that there is a different set of rules in play for their entrepreneurial counter parts. In facts it’s pretty sad really because if you are working in a 9-5 job you are being hammered from every corner. Consider the following:

They spend their lives wishing their weeks away so that they can get to Fridays, just to start all over again on Monday morning. Many employees fail to realize that there are other income models that provide:
Some of these business models include: 1. Royalties from writing books 2. Licensing fees from software you own 3. Rent from residential real estate 4. Portfolio Income from stocks and bonds 5. Passive Income from Network Marketing 6. Passive Income From Online Marketing The first 5 models are outside the scope of this text, but really and truly if you are serious about getting ahead then you should be engaging in all six. I certainly do and I highly recommend you do too. Having a single wage from a single source used to be sufficient, but in these tempestuous times you need to create multiple income streams from multiple sources. A diversified portfolio of sources is the key to securing your income and your lifestyle. One of the most powerful strategies to have in your ‘diversified portfolio’ is the ‘Freedom Continuity Income Model’ What Is the ‘Freedom Continuity Income Model’ Considering that you are reading this text you have already realized that the Internet provides an unprecedented opportunity to make more money. You may be currently working the 9 to 5 job, and you are looking to supplement that income. Or you may have taken a leap of faith and are already focusing 100% of your time and energy on building your online empire. Either way I congratulate you for taking the first step. Remember a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. However you’ll never reach your destination if you start out in the wrong direction. As I’ve outlined in the opening chapter there are hundreds of possibilities when it comes to online marketing. • CPA • CPC • Blogging • Auto Blogging • Review Sites • Authority Sites • Affiliate Marketing • SAAS • Membership Sites • eBooks • WordPress Plugins • Offline Consulting • SEO Businesses • Social Media Consultant • And so on. The BIG PROBLEM is that it takes time to learn each of these models. None of them really give you the FREEDOM you are looking for. In effect no matter which you chose to go with, you are just creating a JOB for yourself. Worse yet what happens if you climb up the online corporate ladder, only to realize that it’s leaning against the wrong wall? There are however variations of these models that I believe are the truest, surest route to Financial FREEDOM. One of these models is what I call ‘The Freedom Continuity Income Model’. The FREEDOM Continuity Income Model perfectly fits our philosophy ‘maximum return, minimum effort’. It provides multiple streams of passive income across a diversified portfolio of different digital assets. It enables you to leverage other people’s time and effort, in effect getting paid for not working at all. So what is the ‘Freedom Continuity Income Model’? Well in simple terms the ‘Freedom Continuity Income Model’ is whereby you promote affiliate programs that have recurring payment plans. I’m talking 100% focus on promoting products / services that pay recurring commissions. If it isn’t recurring, you’re not interested. There are many quality affiliate programs online that will pay you a monthly recurring commission for every sale you make. The huge advantage of promoting these types of programs is that you get all the benefits of running a monthly recurring income site, without any of the work or hassle. You don’t have to worry about:
No all you have to worry about is which bank account you want the payments to be lodged to. Think of this strategy for a moment. For every sale you make you get paid over and over again. You just promote a quality ‘recurring income product’, and forget about it. The income is truly passive because it will continue to flow without any further effort from you. This is the most hands off model when it comes to making passive income online. What Type Of Programs Fit The Freedom Continuity Income Model Some of you might say “ya I’m aware of these residual income products / services, heck I’m already earning some money from them”. But I challenge you have you really given it due consideration. Just because a product has a monthly recurring income stream is not enough for you to promote it. You need to think logically and exercise due diligence in your selection. Taking the extra step can make a huge difference in the longevity of your returns. You need to focus you efforts on identifying products that fit the following criteria: 1. Are Evergreen products / services 2. Are In An Evergreen Niche 3. Are something your target market feels they must have 4. Are something your target feels they cannot do without 5. Are something your target market will feel they have to keep using 6. Is a huge nuisance for your target market to drop? So lets consider each of these in detail. Evergreen products / services refer to products / services that will be needed all year long, and for every foreseeable year thereafter. For example you don’t want to be promoting products that have only a seasonal demand e.g. a service that enables you to create quality Christmas cards with just a few clicks, would have a very short lifespan. Evergreen niches refer to niches that will lock a customer in ad infinitum. You don’t want a niche that is only going to attract a customer for a short amount of time. For example the pregnancy niche has a short life span. Pregnant women are not likely to remain paid members of sites that provide information on breast-feeding ad infinitum. Your target market must feel that this service / product is essential and that it is very much a ‘need’ as opposed to a ‘want’. For example you need to host a website whereas you want more backlinks. In that context promoting a ‘hosting’ provider is a better option than a ‘backlink’ provider. The target market are far more likely to remain a paid up member of the hosting provider than the backlink provider. Your target market must feel they cannot do without the service after they have signed up. Obviously you cannot do without a hosting provider if you have website. If you do your site won’t stay online. The greater the exit barriers the more money you will make. If it is a huge nuisance for your target market to leave the service after signing up, then they will be slower to do it. This means that you are going to receive this passive income stream for longer. Again the hosting provider is the perfect example. It is a nightmare trying to switch hosting providers. Now the absolute perfect product / service to promote will satisfy these 6 criteria. However being realistic it’s tough to find product / services that satisfy all 6. You just need to exercise your intelligence in your selection. Just to point you in the right direction, here is a list of the type of programs you should consider promoting in pursuit of ‘Freedom Continuity Income’. 1. Hosting Companies Every Internet Marketer that wants a site needs a hosting provider. You cannot have a website accessible online unless it is being hosted. It’s also a nightmare to transfer hosting providers, so once you make a sale that stream of passive income is likely to last ad infinitum. Examples of quality hosting companies are Bluehost and Hostgator. 2. Autoresponders. Every Internet Marketer knows that the money is in the list. In order the build and monetize that list they need an auto-responder service. Once they sign up to one of these autoresponder services they will stay signed up for as long as they are Internet marketing. It will facilitate one of their primary sources of income e.g. their list. Examples of quality autoresponders are Aweber and Get Response. 3. Software As A Service Software As A Service or SAAS for short refers to a type of membership site that provides a software solution that is deemed essential by the target market. Usually these types of services will automate essential processes, or save the member considerable time and money. Typically these SAAS sites have features that are unique, and not readily available in a ‘one off payment’ solution. Two Tier Affiliate Programs Two-tier affiliate programs are the holy grail of ‘Freedom Continuity Income’. Essentially you earn passive income, just by recruiting affiliates for someone else’s product. You then earn a set percentage commission on every sale made by every affiliate you refer. Membership Sites With Yearly Recurring Commissions Some sites provide a payment structure that features annual or bi annual subscriptions. They have significant customer retention rates, and lower customer attrition rates. This tends to be because many customers don’t mind paying a one off fee each year. Other times it is because customers forget they even have these subscriptions. It is worth adding these to your portfolio. An example of this type of membership site is ‘Hypertracker’. 6. Reseller Programs Reseller Continuity programs are a little known gold mine, that provide the smartest form of leverage possible. Effectively they enable you take an established continuity program, rebrand it as your own, and milk it for continuity income. The beauty of these programs is that there is no upfront risk of investment required on your behalf. Furthermore you keep up to 100% of the income you make. You just pay a low monthly fee, and pocket all the income without any of the hassle of customer service, or site maintenance. You simply take a proven platform, apply to their reseller program, send traffic and make money. You just need to set up a front-end site and the proprietors of the program you are reselling handle everything else and cut you your monthly check. How To Find Freedom Continuity Programs Worth Promoting Now that you have a grasp of the types of ‘Freedom Continuity Programs’ that are worth promoting, I’m going to show you how you can find these programs. There are a huge number of ‘freedom continuity programs’ available online. The trick is finding quality ones to promote. I’m now going to outline where you can locate them in the fastest possible time: Clickbank Clickbank is the 500-pound Gorilla that has a stellar reputation with vendors, affiliates and customers alike. There are hundreds of quality ‘Freedom Continuity Programs’ in virtually every niche on there. It doesn’t matter if your niche is ‘Internet Marketing’ or ‘Weight Loss’ you will find programs worth promoting. The trick with Clickbank is understanding the different parameters, that will enable you to sort good products from bad products. Your aim is to find a quality product, with high gravity, high future $ per sales values, and low refund rates. Gravity is Clickbank terminology for the frequency with which sales are made by affiliates. The higher the gravity the greater the number of affiliates that are making money with this product. This is a strong indicator of conversion rate. The higher the gravity the better because it means that you will get a higher return on your efforts i.e. a greater percentage of the traffic you send to the offer will convert into passive income. The ‘Avg Rebill Total’ and ‘Avg % Rebill’ are important considerations. You want to find programs that are on the upper end of the scale for both of these filters. They factor in things like customer attrition rate; refund rate, and average length of stay for each customer. This is the essential statistic that should ultimately determine which product you promote. So to summarize you are looking for Clickbank product with Billing Type: Recurring, and a high Avg Rebill Total, which indicates how much an affiliate earns (on average) after the initial sale of that vendor’s products. It’s not a guaranteed amount, but it’s a good sign that you can continue earning more after that first sale. The Avg $/sale stat does include the initial and recurring amounts an affiliate will earn from that vendor (on average), so you can look at that as well to get a good sense of the overall value of promoting that vendor. The benefit of promoting products on this system is that you get paid instantly. The system pays out alternate sale, so if the commission rate is 50% you get 100% of every second sale. Click here to find programs on RAP Bank. PayDotCom PayDotCom is one of the older and more established affiliate networks. Key parameters we are interested in here are APS and the frequency of payments The APS score is calculated on a daily basis and it depends on a number of factors such as the number of sales, total refunds, and affiliate earnings with special emphasis put on the number of unique affiliates making sales over the last 150 days with recent transactions having more relevance. The Filter search is not as sophisticated as some of the other networks i.e. we can’t filter by ‘rebill’ products. The best way to find them is to click on ‘Top Sellers’ inside the Marketplace and browse down through the results. Look for high APS scores and the description after the product title that indicates if it’s a recurring payment product or single payment. Click here to find programs on PayDotCom. Lifetime Commissions LifetimeCommissions.com is a directory of affiliate programs that pay lifetime commissions or residual commissions for life. The customer you refer to the merchant is "yours" for life. Click here to find programs on Lifetime Commissions. JV Notify Pro JV Notify Pro is THE ‘go to site’ when it comes to getting in early on new product launches. The benefit of sourcing lifetime commission programs from this service is that they are 100% new, so all the people you promote the site to are unlikely to have seen it before. This maximizes your affiliate commissions, as they are unlikely to be already signed up as a paid member. There are no filters on here so you just need to click on the different upcoming launches, visit the JV invite pages and locate products with recurring commissions. Nanacast I need to give Nanacast special mention here because not only are you credited with the sale of the recurring income product, but any other product that customer purchases from that vendor. In effect you are getting lifetime commissions for every product that customer ever purchases from that vendor. With Nanacast you need to sign up for an affiliate account. Then go the ‘Affiliate Center’ and opposite the ‘Show’ box select ‘Membership’. Then for ‘Sort by’ select the ‘Most Popular’ option.  Next you browse through the list of returned items, clicking on each one to see what commission structure is on offer.  As you can see in the above diagram, you need to look at the data under ‘Affiliate info’. All you need to do is sign up for a free Affiliate account, sort by the niche you are interested in, and then select your products based on ‘monthly recurring’ structure with a high commission rate. The monthly recurring commission symbol is:  Click here to find programs on Digiresults. Warrior Plus Warrior Plus has exploded in size inside the last 12 months or so. The problem with Warrior Plus is that there are as much ‘junk products’ as there are quality products. I advise caution therefore when selecting which ‘Freedom Continuity Programs’ to promote. There is no specific filter for finding monthly recurring commission structures, however you can sort by the following method and browse through the results.  So as per the above diagram login to your affiliate account. Click on the ‘Affiliates’ tab. From there in the ‘Offer Title / Keyword’ field enter a keyword such as ‘membership’ or ‘coaching’. Then select ‘Visitor Conv.’ In the ‘Sort by’ tab. Hit the ‘Search’ button. Read down through the results, identify monthly recurring programs and perform some ‘due diligence’ to determine if it is a quality product worth promoting. Click here to find programs on Warrior Plus. JV Zoo JV Zoo is a similar network to Warrior Plus, although it has an inferior affiliate network in terms of numbers. It’s also not as clear when it comes to identifying new launches. Neither do they have filters that can be used to pinpoint products with monthly recurring commissions. However it is still worthy browsing through their directory as you will no doubt uncover some gems from the hundreds of vendors that sware by this network. Click here to find programs on JVzoo. SAAS Directory - The SAAS Directory is a directory of ‘Software As A Service’ sites. It’s worth browsing around the directory to uncover quality software services that pay a monthly recurring commission. Click here to find programs on the SaaS Directory. Very often the best place of all to find ‘Freedom Continuity Programs’ is Google itself. You can enter specific syntax in Google, that will pinpoint Freedom Continuity Affiliate Programs in your niche of choice. So go to Google and run a search on the keywords: “niche + recurring affiliate program”  This will return a list of affiliate programs in your niche with a recurring payment plan. Ok now that I’ve given you enough repositories in order to find these ‘Freedom Continuity Programs’, its now time to take note of these important considerations before diving right in there. Important Things Worth Considering Pre Selection It’s not enough to simply find affiliate programs with a recurring payment structure, and promote them. You need to conduct some due diligence to ensure they are worth your time and effort. The Quality of The Product /Service Being Offered It is essential that you focus you efforts on promoting quality products. However if you are blinded by attractive commission payments, and fail to do your ‘due diligence’ then you are going to spend your time ‘spinning your wheels’. Promoting low quality products will means that:
One of the most effective methods of analyzing a potential business is to check out what people are saying in the forums. Google phrase such as:
Spend more time reviewing the comments in forums rather than review sites. Review sites are most likely affiliates trying to sell you the product, so their opinions will be biased. Reading through forums posts and comments will enable you to see a wide range of opinions, and enable you to make a more informed decision. Always use your gut instincts when assessing these reviews. Remember not everyone is going to have something positive to say, most often because some people’s expectations are unreasonable. Taking this into account will prevent you from discounting products worth your selection. The Stickability Factor The stickability factor refers to how badly the product is ‘needed’. Remember we are most interested in promoting products / services that satisfy a ‘need’ as opposed to a ‘want’. A need is a compulsory requirement whereas a want is a ‘luxury’. For example you need ‘Food and Water’ but ‘Alcoholic Beverages’ are a want. So when assessing a potential program ask yourself does my target market really need this program or is it more of a ‘nice to have, as opposed to a must have’. Not every Freedom Continuity Program you promote will satisfy a ‘need’ but the more they do, the great the stickability factor. The Attrition Rate The ‘Attrition Rate’ refers to the % fall off rate in a continuity program over time. Obviously you’d like for every sale you make to be paying you passive income for the rest of your life. However every continuity program you promote will have a ‘fall off’. So ‘Attrition’ refers to the rate or number of members that cancel their membership per billing cycle. The more members that quit, the worse the attrition rate is. Unfortunately attrition rates can be as high as 50% to 70% over the first 3 months. This means that for even 10 sales you make this month, up to 7 will have stopped paying you within 3 months. Attrition rate is thus an important consideration. High attrition rates signal that this particular continuity program is either lacking in quality, customer service, or is more focused on satisfying customer ‘wants’ than needs. Other factors include: perceived value is lower than price charged, information overload due to excessive content, the site is not generating promised results, the price is too high, the content / service is available elsewhere for FREE or as a one off purchase. The Attrition rate for a continuity program will not be easy to find, certainly not discoverable on a Google search. It will necessitate you making direct contact with the product / service vendor. Tell them that you are interested in promoting their product / service, but you need some more detailed information before you can make an informed decision. Ask them what is their ‘attrition rate per billing cycle’. Some might be dishonest with you, but from my experience most will have the good sense to be upfront. They realize that if they mislead you that you will know that statistic yourself after you have promoted their service for a few months. There is no such thing as a ‘good or bad attrition rate, everything is relative’. Every niche is different, different niches have different needs and wants, and different types of competitors exist to satisfy each of these needs and wants. You thus need to conduct market research that compares the attrition rates of different competitors within the same category of service for your respective niche. Only then can you make an informed decision. The Conversion Rate The conversion rate is another important consideration. You need to factor in how much traffic you have to send to a sales page, in order to make a single sale. Very often the ‘continuity programs’ sit on the back end of a funnel. So although the quoted conversion rate of this backend sales page might be high, remember that it refers only to customers who purchased on the front end. So if a product is converting a 4% on the front end, and 25% on the backend then to make just one recurring commission I need to send at least 100 qualified prospects. These are important considerations from a time and cost perspective. Most product vendors will be honest and tell you their conversion rate if you simply send them an email / or raise a support ticket. As the saying goes ‘you can get anything you want, if you just ask’. The Commission Rate The commission rate and the duration of payments are important considerations. Obviously you need to go after freedom continuity programs that pay out the highest commission rates. By commission rate I refer to percentile values, as opposed to monetary values. The reason is discussed here under on the section on price. The majority of freedom continuity programs pay a 30 - 50% commission rate. Some will offer 100% for the first few months, but then cut you off there after. Obviously we are going after passive income here, so it is critical that the term is indefinite i.e. you get paid until such a time that the customer cancels their membership. This information will be clearly visible on the JV or affiliate page for the program, so take careful note of the way it is phrased. If you need clarification seek it. The Affiliate Support Materials Affiliate support materials provide an important insight into the type of support you can expect to receive from the vendors of this program. The more support you receive the more money you will make. Effectively the more of the following items that are provided the better:
This is not a complete list, but I’m sure you get the idea. If a product vendor provides all / most of the above, then they are dedicated to helping you make as much money as possible. This is a strong indicator that their support will probably be equally good. The Competition Factor In the movie ‘Wall Street’ the character Gordon Gekko played by Michael Douglas made the infamous statement that ‘Greed is Good’. Well in the ‘freedom continuity program’ stakes, ‘competition is good’. Competition proves that there are affiliates out there who are making good money promoting this program. They wouldn’t be wasting their time promoting it other wise. Do a quick Google on terms such as ‘product name reviews’. Take note of the number of review sites that appear. If these are thin on content review sites with low page Ranks then you can easily get past this competition. If however the first page of Google is full of authority sites with high page ranks of 5+, then you will find it difficult to break through on Google in the short to medium term. You can use a tool such as Market Samurai for an instant snap shot of the strength of your page one Competitors for any given keyword phrase. So many marketers overlook the strength of their competition, when making product selection decisions. Make sure you are not one of them. But remember SEO is not the only marketing channel you are competing in. Even for an extremely competitive market, full of high page ranks sites on page one of Google; you could get a page one ranking using video marketing. This is thanks to the fact video marketing is a far less competitive medium, and routinely gets page one results thanks to Google’s universal Search. So the takeaway here is that even if competition is strong you can chose less competitive marketing channels to get good results. The Price The price is a factor that many affiliates consider for the wrong reasons. Many affiliate want to promote the highest priced product / service possible. They think higher prices means bigger commission checks. While this might be true initially, higher priced products have much higher attrition rates. Now I don’t know about you but I’d prefer to make $47 per month per customer for 5 years or more, than to make $250 per customer for 2 months or less. As a general observation I have found that products within the $27 - $97 price point have a much lower customer attrition rate than their higher priced counter parts. This is something that a lot of affiliates over look, and it is an important consideration. The Product / Service Vendors Reputation The reputation of the product / service vendor from an affiliate perspective is a key consideration. Some are slow to issue affiliate checks, while others have been known to be less than honest when it comes to paying affiliates what they are due. Scroll to the end of the product sales page and find the name of the person and or company selling the product. This could be the salutation e.g. ‘To your success, MAO Flynn’ or it might be at the very end of the page beside the copyright e.g. in the case below its ‘traffic geyser LLC’.  Do a quick Google on terms like ‘affiliate program traffic geyser LLC’ and browse through the experiences of their affiliates. A little bit of digging around will reveal a lot about the integrity of the company. On a side note ‘Traffic Geyser LLC’ are an awesome company, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences promoting their SAAS. The Affiliate Network Finally worthy of your consideration is the affiliate platform being used to service payments. For my own SAAS sites I have always used Nanacast, because they have a stellar reputation as the number 1 affiliate network for eliminating commission theft / fraud and ensuring that genuine affiliates get accurate commissions. However that isn’t the only consideration. Networks such as Clickbank, Commission Junction and PayDotCom have been around for years. They are third party networks that sit in between the vendor and the affiliate. The stats are thus accurate / transparent, and you know you will be paid on time with the likes of Clickbank who’s payments run like clockwork every fort night. Other vendors use in house membership scripts such as aMember or Wishlist. While these are good systems, it means that the vendor does have full control over when commission payments are processed. Other networks such as JVzoo, Warrior Plus, Digiresults and RAPbank feature instants real time payments, which have the advantages of instant gratitude. In real terms I promote specifically based on ‘product / service’ quality, so inevitably you are going to have a diversified portfolio of continuity products from different platforms. How To Promote Freedom Continuity Programs Ok so you have identified your niche, selected evergreen products that fit our stringent criteria, now how are you going to promote them? Well in order to promote these products you need to begin with the customer’s mindset. Remember you are asking your customers to make a financial commitment spanning months or even years. It is thus extremely important that you pre-sell them on the benefits. The benefits have to outweigh the costs. Perception is key. So before you even start deciding on the channels you will use to promote the product, create a brainstorming diagram and list every imaginable benefit that you can think of. Remember features and benefits are different. ‘Features tell, benefits sell’. Features pertain to what the product / service does, whereas benefits are the positive results attributed to those features. I always found the easiest way to identify ‘benefits’ was to use the ‘so that’ principle. So if you identify a feature as ‘automatically submits videos to video sharing sites’, then you simply append the words ‘so that’ and fill in the blank: Automatically submits videos to the video sharing sites so that ____________________ So for example: Automatically submits videos to the video sharing sites so that you save all the time wasted with manual submissions i.e. the benefit here is ‘saves time’. Again you really need to have used the products/ service to be able to speak from a position of authority. Do not be afraid to approach the product vendor and tell them you want temporary access to do a detailed product review. Most will be very happy to oblige. It spins titles, content, and auto submits to the top video sharing sites. In that context we would create an authority site focused on video marketing.
